🧕👧 WOMEN ECONOMIC FORUM (WEF) ASEAN 2025 GATHERS REGIONAL WOMEN LEADERS IN KUALA LUMPUR
The three-day forum is expected to welcome over 500 participants, including women leaders, policymakers, academics, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and civil society representatives from across ASEAN and beyond. With the central theme “Women Leaders Beyond Borders: Shaping the Future of the ASEAN Sheconomy,” the forum aims to spotlight women’s leadership and transformative roles in creating a more inclusive, sustainable, and forwardthinking regional economy.
A total of 140 speakers from over 20 countries, representing various sectors including industry, academia, and civil society, have confirmed their participation in delivering thought leadership and progressive ideas throughout the forum.
The forum also offers an open platform to deliberate on pressing themes such as gender equality, ESG frameworks, education, digital economy, and community empowerment through diverse parallel and thematic sessions addressing real challenges faced by women in ASEAN.
The opening ceremony will be officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the spouse of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, on the morning of 19 June. The forum will conclude with a closing ceremony on 21 June, officiated by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
